STAMP FRAUD DETECTION
A magnifying g] ass 0 f high power lias been installed at the General Post Office, Sydney, for examining postage stamps which are suspected to hare been used more than once. A bright electric lamp illuminates the stamp, and any sign of the cancelling stamp can be detected immediately. A heavy penalty is provided for tlis offence of attaching used stamps to - letters, and the postal authorities have been instructed to take action against offender*. A
