PEARLING LUGGERS
JAPANESE WARNED OFF DARWIN, April 5 Seventeen Japanese pearling luggers were found to-day at the island of Buribah, in the Crocodile group, and were warned off the coast by the master of the northern patrol boat Larrakia. The luggers had been regularly calling at the island for food and water. After the customs regulations had been explained to them, the captains of the luggers said that in future they would call at Darwin, which is 400 miles fro.m the pearling ground.
