HAMILTON GARDEN PARTY Perfect weather favoured the annual garden party held at "The Nest," the Salvation Army children's home at" Hamilton, on Saturday afternoon. The function was opened by the Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow. "The Nest" had been presented 18 years ago by Mr. Ewen McGregor, 'who was present at the garden party, air. Fow referred to Mr. McGregor's interest in the home during those years. The matron, Adjutant M. Hoare, replied, expressing appreciation to all who had helped to make the function successful. A programme presented by the children was appreciated:. Stalls stocked with attractive goods, were well patronised. The funds will benefit to the extent of £3O.
