£IOO,OOO TO MRS. SIMPSON REPORT IN LONDON JOURNAL LONDON, March 28 The Duke of Windsor, accord in a to the Paris correspondent of the Sunday Referee, has settled £IOO,OOO on Mrs. Simpson. Beyond the income from this amount, the correspondent adds, Mrs. Simpson does not possess any private means. Mr. Herman liogers denies that Mrs. Simpson, who was his guest at Cannes for three months, has leased the Villa Rosa, on the shores of Lake Como. George V.'s <;hef, M. Poupart. who retired to Vichy when Edward VIJL succeeded to the Throne, will resume duty at Buckingham Palace on April 1. M. Legros, whom Edward appointed his chef, will shortly return to Franco. He was at one time chef at the Chateau Cande, where Mrs. Simpson is now staying, and it is thought that he innv re-enter the Duke of Windsor's service.
