'• . k . • ~ METROPOLITAN GUN- CLUB The Metropolitan Gun Club held its fortnightly trophy shoot on Saturday afternoon at Mangere. There was a good attendance, but a strong wind made shooting rather difficult. In the first seven-target eye-opener tho possible was scored by R. G. White, 11yds, A. J. Hanigan, 14yds, and P. J. Hazard, 14yds. The main event was for a trophy presented by Messrs. W. H. Tisdall, Limited. A. J. Hanigan, Id yds, shot remarkably well, and was tho only competitor to break the possible of 15, thus winning the trophy outright. F. J. Hazard, 14yds missed the fifteenth target and took second money with a score of 14. Third money was divided by D. J. Hyauiason, 11yds, A. Holebrook, 33yds, J. Dobson, 14yds, and F. Curtis, 14yds, all with 13 breaks each. * A seven-target gimcrack, back 2yds a break, was won outright by J. Dobson, 1224vds, with the possible, a very good performance. Second money was divided by R. G. White and.G. Rutherford, 11-21 yds, D.Hyauiason and A. J. Hanigan, 12-22 yds, and Ij. .T. Stent, 14-24 yds, all with six breaks each. A double rise, five pairs, was won outright, by A. J. Hanigan, 12yds, with the possible of 10. J. Dobson, 13yds, was second with 8, and L. J. Stent, 12yds, third with 7 breaks. Hanigan's shooting, on the day was excellent, his score being 38, J. Dobson being next highest with 34.
