WORLD MOTOR TOUR
NINE MONTHS' TRAVEL VISITS TO MANY COUNTRIES [from our own correspondent] MELBOURNE, March 25 An organised round the world motor tour, which will cover more than 25,000 miles by road, will begin in Australia next spring. The tour is being undertaken by the Pioneer tourist organisation and it will extend over nine months. Except for the intermediate shipping connections, the party will travel overland in luxurious saloon cars, accompanied by a specially-equipped baggage vehicle. The itinerary will embrace the five continents, and will traverse about 25 countries, including Java, Malaya, India, Irak, Syria and Palestine. From there the party will motor through Egypt, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and France, and after reaching London will spend four weeks, in .Britain. The party will cross to New York and motor for another month in the United States, embarkinK at San Francisco for a tour of the North Island of New Zealand. The party will return to Australia in time to take part in the 150 th anniversary of Sydney in 1938.
