i PETERSEN'S CAREER ENDS EFFECT OF EYE INJURY LONDON, April 2 An eyj specialist has told Jack Petersen, former champion boxer of England, that he must never fight again, and must wear glasses permanently, owing to an eye injury received in his bout against Len Harvey in 1935. YOUNG LIVERPOOL FLY-WEIGHT (Received April 4, 6.50 p.m.) PARIS, April 3 The young Liverpool fly-weight boxer, Peter Kane, aged IS, to-day defeated Poppi Decico, European bantam-weight champion. Ihe referee stopped the contest after 72 seconds, in which the Frenchman was three times down. The title was not involved. This is Kane's 3lth successive win since 1033. BRADDOCK TO MEET LOUIS (Received April 4. 5.5 p.m.) CHICAGO, April 3 The heavy-weight boxer J. J. Braddock has arrived at Chicago with sparring partners and trainers. A training camp has been arranged for him in Northern Wisconsin, whence lio will leave on April 4. His manager, Mr. Gould, told Mr. Mayor, governor of the Athletic Commission, that Braddock positively would meet Louis on June 22, not Sellmeling at Berlin or New York as before reported.
