Any hint of the supernatural with its accompaniment of moans and groans of affected terror can have only a harmful effect on the majority of listeners-in, especially the ladies. Last winter we had one of these exciting, gruesome radio sketches nearly every Monday night, and as my husband hopes to make me strongminded I was compelled to listen-in. Sow, 1 consider Monday belongs peculiarly to the women of the household, it being a day devoted to washing, scrubbing and ironing, so one wishes for something quiet and restful by way of entertainment at night.
