It was decided tij call a district conference, to which Wellington bodies could be invited, to enter a protest. it was stated that, although the deputation was assured that a report on the project would be obtained by the Government, all efforts since then to obtain a satisfactory reply from the Pr'nic Minister or other Ministers had been fruitless.
