MINERS' AGREEMENT
ALL BRANCHES ACCEPT
INCREASE STARTS THIS MONTH

The national agreement proposals which were drawn up at a meeting at Auckland between miners' representatives and the Coal Mine Owners' Association, and were then referred to a vote of miners' branches throughout the Dominion, have been accepted by all branches. The owners have been notified of this acceptance. The increased wages aro to come into operation from the commencement of the lirst pay fortnight after March 20. As the pay periods are not uniform throughout New Zealand, this means that in some districts the increase will commence on March 22, while in other districts it will commence on March 29.
