LEAGUE FOOTBALL
PONSONBY CLUB'S MEETING
A good attendance of players and supporters was preseut at last night's annual meeting of the Ponsonby Rugby League Football Club. Mr. R. Francis presided. A feature of the report was the acquisition of a social hall and clubrooms, which had proved a big success during the last season. The senior team was unsuccessful in winning any championship honours, but won the Phelan Shield for knock-out competition. Mr. A. Adams, patron, presented the Stuart Cup to the seniors as the most successful team in the club, and commented on the splendid co-operation shown by the players to their coacn, A. E. Cooke. The club showed a substantial profit, and assets amounted to £IBB, while there were no liabilities. The following officers were elected for the ensuing season:—Patron, Mr. A. Adams; president, Mr. S. Harrison; honorary secretary, Mr. M. Campbell; honorary treasurer, Mr. L. Adams; executive committee, Messrs. R. Francis, F. Delgrosso, D. Malavery, S. Armstrong, A. Barnelt; selector and coach, Mr. A. E. Cooke i club captain, Mr, A. McIntyro. All last year» vice-president* .were re-elected. J
