MEETINGS IN PROVINCE FIXTURE AT MANGATAWHIRI RUNNING AND MOUNTED EVENTS [I'llOM OITII OWN CORRESPONDENT] PUKEKOHE, Sunday A fine afternoon followed a showery morning yesterday at Mangatawhiri, and the annual sports meeting there attracted an attendance ol' about (300 spectators and competitors. The various events were well contested, and the meeting proved successful. Mr. 11. K. Keith's property, on the banks of the Mangatawhiri Stream, furnished the sports ground. OUTING AT GLENMURRAY GOOD EQUESTRIAN CONTESTS [i'ROJI OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] TUAKAU, Sunday Although the weather was showery, several hundred spectators enjoyed the outing in attending the 17th annual sports meeting at (Ileiimurray, held yesterday on Mr. K. L. Caldwell's grounds, opposite the junction of the Rangiriri and Tuakau Roads, Glenmurray. The motor event and the obstacle race on* foot had to be cancelled, but the mounted men had a great day's sport.
