ENGLISH TOURING TEAM EIGHT WICKETS FOR 392 (Iffcceived January 15, 10.45 p.m.) HOBART, Jan. 15 An interesting display oi: cricket was witnessed at Hobart to-day, when members of the Australian test eleven played for the first time with «f combined Tasmanian team {(gainst England. The spectators, numbered 7000. England batted in perfect conditions, scoring runs at a fast ra:e. In the afternoon Ware, bowled for more than an hour into the breeze. His length was distinctly erratic and he retired after bowling 15 overs for 71 runs. This gave Grimmott the opportunity of taking two wickets in quick succession, including that of Barnett, who hit 10 fours and three sixes to score 129.
