DAIRY AMALGAMATION
REJECTION ,AT HINEURA MEETING OF SUPPLIERS _ [from our own correspondent] MATAMATA, Friday For the second time within a few months a proposal to amalgamate with the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, was rejected at a meeting of suppliers of the Hinuera Co-operative Dairy Company. Mr. J. E. "West, chairman of directors of the Hinuera Company, outlined the terms of the proposed amalgamation. The meeting was also briefly addressed by Mr. R. H. McKenzie, chairman of directors of the New Zealand Dairy Company, and Mr. C. J. Parlane, general manager. In a discussion several suppliers expressed satisfaction with the service given by the Hinuera Company and with the_ sound financial position-, and the decision to decline . the proposal to amalgamate was unanimous.
