VALUES FOR STOCK THE MORRINSVILLE AUCTION COMPETITION MAINTAINED Dalgety anrl Company, limited, reports a small yarding of both cattle and pigs at the Morrinsville sale yesterday, the main reason being uncertainty that buyers would be able to operate to their full extent on account of the freezing works dispute. The cattle yarded were of good quality and several very choice maiden Polled Angus heifers met with keen competition. WESTFIELD QUOTATIONS DEMAND WELL MAINTAINED No reaction fo the dispute in the freezing industry and the hold-up in slaughtering operations was experienced at the "Westfielci weekly sfoclt sale. The demand for boner cattle, which usually pass almost immediately to the local freezing ivories, was on normal level, and prices remained firm, up to £7 being paid for fat boner bulls. The demand for dairy cattlo was good, and there were clearances ft firm rates. Jersey and Jersey-cross cows topped the market, realising up to CS ss. Good quality heifers of the same breeds also sold under keen competition and made up to £B.
