SHOOTING FATALITY
KEREPEEHI YOUTH'S DEATH ACCIDENT WITH PEA-RIFLE [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] THAMES, Friday A fatal shooting accident occurred at Kerepeehi, Hauraki Plains, this afternoon? Brian Jamieson, aged 18, being found shot through the head. The youth, who was the adopted soil of Mr. H. 1). Jamieson, farmer, was last seen alive by Mr. Jamieson shortly before 1 p.m. It is thought that he took a peariflc to shoot blackbirds in the orchard, as he was accustomed to do. Mr. Jamieson heard a shot and soon afterward went to call his son to the mid-day meal. He heard what he took to be a reply, and it was not until some time later that a search was made. The youth was found at five o'clock lying on the pea-rifle and with a wound in his right cheek. Death apparently had been instantaneous.
