DEATHS ON SAME DAY THOUSANDS OF MILES APART HAMILTON COMMUNITY'S LOSS [from nun own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday When relatives were proceeding to the funeral of the late Mr. Ebon Wilson, headmaster of the Hamilton High School, to-day, advice was received by cablegram of the death at Capetown yesterday of Mr. Wilson's younger son, Dr. Alan Lambert Wilson, registrar of the Waikato Hospital. Father and son died on the same day. Dr. Wilson was born in Hamilton in 1910 and was a pupil of the New Plymouth and Hamilton High Schools. He graduated M.8., Ch.B. at Otago University, after a brilliant scholastic career, and was appointed to the medical staff of the Waikato Hospital, becoming senior house surgeon and registrar. In November Dr. Wilson was granted leave of absence on account of illhealth, and he was returning from a visit to England when his death occurred. He is survived by his mother arid one brother, Dr. E. Wilson, of Woolwich, London.
FINAL TRIBUTES PAID SERVICE IN CATHEDRAL [nv TKM'.CiKAI'H —OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON, Friday There was a large attendance to-day at the funeral of tho late Mr. Kben Wilson, headmaster of the Hamilton High School, the accommodation at St. Peter's Cathedral being overtaxed. Tho service was conducted by tho Rev. R. J. Boyt, assisted by tho Revs. A. H. Bott, W. G. Berd and P. Sergei. Tho pall-bearers were Messrs. G. L. MacDiarmid, chairman of the board of governors, D. 10. Malins, president of the Old Boys' Association, H. D. Tait and F. E. Mason., members of the teaching staff of the school, and two present pupils, .T. B. McKenzie and J. Reynolds. Numerous floral tributes were laid on iho grave.
