FALL DOWN STAIRS
NIGHTWATCHMAN'S DEATH Admitted to the Auckland Hospital in September last, after falling down a flight of stairs and breaking his thigh at the works of R. and W. Hoi la by, Limited, at Westfield, where he was employed ns a nightwatchuian. Air. Birkctt Germann, aged 48, married, of 23 Hardington Street, Onehunga, died yesterday. The accident occurred about four o'clock on the morning of September J/5, and Air. Germann bad to smash a window with a torch before the attention of an engineer on duty at the works was attracted. t
