More than 850 guests enjoyed the Boxiii"; Night carnival at the Pirate Ship on Saturday. The guests were in true holiday mood and the spirited playing of the Pirate Ship Band called for repeated encores, which received generous response. Colourful decoratjons wer© a feature of the evening, the hall being gailv adorned with hanging hells linked together with crimson and gold ribbons. The stage setting depicted the change of fashion over a century, female figures being shown in silhouette against a blue background. During the evening balloons and streamers were released and a Monte Carlo competition ca.used keen interest.
