ROADS AT TAURANGA

PLANT FOR IMPROVING [BY TKLEGIt.VPII —OWN COURESPONDENT] TAURANGA, Monday The first unit of the main highways plant has arrived in Tauranga from Thames. It is a light road grader of nine tons, being the latest of its kind and manufactured by A. and'G. Price, Limited, at their Thames works. The machine is capablo of grading up to eight miles an hour and scarifying at up to three miles an hour. It will commence work 011 the Waihi-Katikati road. Machinery for straightening and improving the Kaimai Road is expected any day and work is to be started on that highway at an early date.
