ALLEGED FRAUD
PHILADELPHIA COMPANY INDICTMENT OF PROMOTERS PHILADELPHIA. Nov. 20 Twelve bankers and lawyers were indicted to-day by a Federal grand jury in connection with the collapse of 132,000,000-dollar Philadelphia companjr for guaranteeing mortgages. The men are charged with conducting an unlawful scheme to defraud by using the mails. Upon consenting to a receivership the company had a working balance of exactly 13,000 dollars.
