INVESTITURE HELD
LETTERS PATENT PRESENTED GOVERNMENT HOUSE FUNCTION [BT TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday The Governor-General, Viscount G*d" way, held an investiture and reception at Government House to-night, which he presented to the Hon. Sir John Heed, Sir James Elliott.- and S' r James Hutchison Royal letters patent conferring upon them the degree, title and honour of knight bachelor. His Excellency also presented to JITC. A. Jeffery and Mr. Willi Eels, Dunedin, the insignia of Companion W the Order of St. Michael and George; to Mr. C. J. McKenzie, tW; insignia of Commander of the Order e the British Empire; and to Dr. C. Gordon, of Stratford, the insignia Member of the Order of the Britl® Empire.
