.YESTERDAY'S SALES RETURN ON INVESTMENTS Following is a list of yesterday's transactions on tho New Zealand Stock Exchanges and tile yield at the quoted price. The exchange premium on cli%• itlends pavable in sterling is included. Ihe yield on 4 per cent Government loans includes redemption, and is calculated to the earliest date, and on ,'i.J per cent loans, is for interest alone, covering only the tax-free period.

THE MINING MARKET MOUNT MORGANS HIGHER RISE IN GOLDEN DAWNS Levels remained firmly steady in the mining market on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Mount Morgans were dealt in twice Id higher at 15s Id, while Waihi Investments were fractionally better at I]s 6Jcl. Golden Dawns moved up Id to 2s 7d. while Talisman Duhhos maintained late rates Closing quotations were: —

ARDATH TOBACCO PROFITS Net profits of £460,474 were recorded by the ATclath Tobacco Company, England, for the year to June 30 last, or £l7 'more than in the preceding 12 months. The company is controlled by Universal Tobacco, a private undertaking. Final dividend was paid of 4 per cent, tax free, on the £.'5,000,000 of ordinarv capital, practically all of which is held by the controlling concern. This brought the year's distribution per cent net, the annual rate paid since 1930.
