WEEKLY HALF-HOLIDAY
PROPOSAL AT TAURANGA CLOSING ON SATURDAYS [by telegram—OWN correspondent] TAURANGA, Wednesday A proposal to change the business half-holiday to Saturday was before the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce at its monthly meeting, when a number of speakers advocated Saturday closing and others spoke against the scheme. The meeting expressed the view that Saturday closing should not be brought into operation until after January 2.
