TOWN CLERK'S SUCCESS
A tribute to the work of Mr. A. Leese, town clerk at One Tree Hill, was paid by the Mayor, Mr. 1. J. Goldstine, at a meeting of the council last night, when he announced that Mr. Leese had been placed first equal in a competition sponsored by the New Zealand Society of Accountants for a thesis on local body administration. The council decided to send its congratulations both to Mr. Leese and the other successful candidate, Mr. C. L. Bishop, of Eastbourne, Wellington.
