NEWTON EAST MISSION
The final meeting for the year of the mothers of the Newton East Mission took place last week. TJie leader, Mrs. Morrish, presided, and welcomed members and friends, more than 100 being present. A report of tho year's work was read by the secretary, Mrs. Best. The speakers for tho evening were Mrs. Stimpson and Mr. A. G. Men/.ies. items were given by Mrs. Hugh Rasper, Mrs. Brown, Miss J. Armit, Mrs. Davis. Mrs. Best, Miss F. Mathieson, Miss Appleby, Miss V. Hullali and Miss June llorry. A special prize, donated by Miss V. Hullali, was given to Mrs. Howard and Mrs. Miller for obtaining tho most new members throughout tho year. Special roferenco was made to Mrs. Hullali for cervices rendered and also to Mrs. Morrish, who received a gift from the mothers. Miss Mathieson, who donated several sets of silk mats, and also accorded a vote of thanks. Bouquets were presented to the leaders and snveral members.
