CORONATION SOUVENIRS
PENCILS FOR CHILDREN SUGGESTION AT ELLERSLIE A proposal to present the schoolchildren in Ellerslie with a souvenir pencil to commemorate the coronation was favourably discussed this week by the Kllorslie Town Board. Mr. S. Somerfield suggested that this would be an appropriate manner of marking the historic occasion. It was stated there were about 750 scholars at the district and convent schools. Mr. A. 11. Mclntyrc said the school committee might co-operate and meet half the cost, should that be found beyond the board's resources. It was decided to adopt the suggestion and to obtain a report from the two schools.
