VOLUNTEERS WANTED

MOTOR-CYCLE PLATOON RECRUITING AT AUCKLAND Following the recent decision of the Government to authorise the formation of territorial motor-cycle units, recruits are now being enlisted at the headquarters of the Ist Battalion, Auckland Regiment. It is the present intention to form a motor-cycle platoon, although it is proposed ultimately to form a. motor-cycle company, as part of the Ist Battalion. Preference will be given to recruits able to attend the annual camp in February. Technical knowledge is required, as well as the possession of a suitable machine. The training will embrace scouting, reconnaissance work# and the uso of Lewis guns.
