• Mrs. Proude, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. A. R. Benjamin, Apirana Avenue, Whangarei. Mrs. Dill, of Hawke's Bay, is visiting Mrs. R. C. Napier, Main's Avenue, "Whangarei. Mrs. W. C. Coote, Apirana Avenue, Whangarei, has returned from a short visit to Dargaville, whero sho was the guest of Mrs. L. W. Mehrtens Miss J. Mirrielees has been spending a holiday in Dargaville and Auckland. Madame A. T. Brainsby, Mill Road, Whangarei, has returned from a holiday visit to Auckland, where she was the guest of Mrs. A. D. Jack, Mount Eden.
Mrs." Arthur Collins, Heme Bay, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. A. Marsden Woods, Nixon Street, Whangarei. Mrs. J. Collins, also of Auckland is the guest of Mrs. W. Simons, Main's Avenue. Mrs. G. W. Foote, of Ruawai, is the guest of Mrs. W. A. Christiansen, Mill Road, Whangarei. Miss Thelma Simons, home science mistress at the Takapuna Grammar School, has returned after visiting her mother in Whangarei. Mrs. Morley Bell, of Howick, is the guest of Mrs. A. W. Dunford, Ruatangata, Whangarei. A small dinner and bridge party was given at her home by Mrs. Dunsford for Mrs. Bell. Prior to her departure for Auckland to commence her nursing training, Miss Edna Parkes, was the guest of honour at a social evening in the Baptist Sunday School hall, Whangarei. The Rev. R. G. Bycroft, on behalf of her friends, presented Miss Parkes with a leather suitcase, and referred to the good work she had done in the church, Sunday School and choir.
