THEFT OF MONEY
OFFENCE AT SAWMILL The theft of £4 5s 3d, the property of Sorenson, Limited, of Katikati, was admitted in the Police Court yesterday by Morton Andrew Wilson, aged 28, marble mason. Accused was employed as a bookkeeper and tallyman at a sawmill at Katikati, said Sub-Inspector D. Scott. He was responsible for the payment of wages, and was handed the money to buy stamps for unemployment tax, but converted it to his own use. He had previous convictions. Accused was remanded for a week for sentence.
