WHALING DISPUTE
NORWEGIAN BOYCOTT RAISED AGREEMENT NOW PROBABLE British Wireless RUGBY, Sept. 4 Official confirmation of the lifting of the boycott on British whalers by Norwegian seamen has been received by the Foreign Office from the Norwegian Charge d'Affaires in London, Mr. Hans C. Berg. During his call Mr. Berg was given every assurance that in these circumstances the Norwegian proposals in connection with the whale oil quota dispute would receive attention. It is felt that the Norwegian proposals offered a real basis for discussion, and there are good hopes of reaching an agreement.
