WHANGAREI INTERESTS
Mrs. J. G. Robertson, Mill Road, Whangarei, who, with her husband, hns been on a holiday visit to Canada, returned to Whangarei last week. Mrs. C. Clark, Mill Road, Whangare:, has left for Hastings, where she will take up her residence. Her husband has been appointed postmaster at Hastings. Mrs. H. A. Munn and Mr. Munn and family have arrived from Te Kuiti, and have taken up their residence in Bank Street, Whangarei. Mr. Munn succeeds Mr. C. Clark as postmaster at Whangarei. Mrs. L. McLean, of Auckland, who has on a visit to Whangarei, has returned to her home. Mrs. J. Woolley, of Apirana Avenue, Whangarei, has returned after a short visit to Auckland. Mrs. R. K. Trimmer, Norfolk Street, Whangarei, paid a short visit to Auckland during the week. Mrs. D. J. Goodwin and Mrs. W. I. Surman are spending a short holiday in Auckland. Mrs. St. Clair, Jounneaux, of Kamo, Whangarei, who has been on a motoring tour to Auckland and Rotorua, has returned. Miss L. Wilson, of Whangarei, has left for Auckland to enter the Karitane Hospital for training. Miss E; M. Parkes, who for the pasc six and a-half years has been on the staff of Mr. F. L. Gunn, public accountant, Whangarei, left for Auckland, where she has taken a position. Prior to her departure she was made the recipient of a travelling rug by members of the staff. Miss Kathleen Barker, of Wanganui, who has been visiting Miss Mary Wiglev, has returned. Mrs. Clifton Tilly, of Ngatea, has returned home after spending the school holidays in Whangarei. Mrs. H. M. Brown, formerly postmistress at Onerahi, who has been on an extended holiday to England, returned to New Zealand last week. She is at present staying with her daughter, Mrs. R. Morrison, at Lang's Beach.
