OKOROIRE DANCE
ADDITIONS TO HALL Probably the Okoroire Hall has never looked so attractive as it did last Thursday evening when a dance was held to celebrate the opening of the new supper room. A colourful scene was presented with attractively arranged autumn tinted streamers. Visitors were present from surrounding districts and a very enjoyable evening was held. In the absence of the president, Mr. 11. Carruth, Mr. Gubb declared the new room open A special feature of the evening was an item played on the mouth organ by Mr. Ken Musker, of Tirau. Mr. and Mrs. Harwood were the winners of a spot waltz. Among those present were: —Mrs. Gubb, wearing a frock of maroon and white pinspotted marocain; Mrs. Buchanan (Waihi), prune satin beaute and silver iame; Mrs. J. McLaren, floral ninon and fur coat; Mrs. Harwood, black georgette; Mrs. N. Harwood, palest pink metalasse; Mrs. A. Harrison, black silk velvet; Mrs. B. Bellamy, scarlet metalasse; Miss V. Gubb, salmon pink ninon, Miss K. Petersen (Auckland), green floral marocain; Miss K. Slight (Matamata), scar.let elephant crepe; Miss M. Leadbeater (Matamata), midnight blue silk velvet and white fur coat; Miss E. Goodwin, pale pink cloque; Miss B. Turkington (Matamata), blue sprigged organdi and black velvet coat; Miss M. Carruth (Okoroire), black chiffon velvet and red roses; Miss 1). Petersen, shell pink satin; Miss J. Watkins ' (Hamilton), scarlet ninon and ivory velvet cape; Miss N. Harwood (Putaruru), scarlet georgette; Miss R. Scott (Tirau), apricot georgette and diamante; Misa G. Lewis, floral taffetas; Miss June McLaren, powder blue crepe suede; Miss G. Barker, floral taffetas; Miss L. Harwood, pink frilled net.
