SAVOLDI BEATS DUSEK [by telegraph—press association] / DUNEDIN. Sunday In a contest marked by more showmanship than straight wrestling Joe Savoldi, 16st 41b, making his first appearance in New Zealand, defeated Danny Dusek, 16st 41b, last night. Savoldi was casual at times, apparently to the point of carelessness, but was never actually extended. He always had the measure of his opponent and secured the only fail of the bout in the sixth round with a body press, following two drop-kicks. BOESCH AND KRUSE DRAW [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WESTPORT, Sunday A wrestling bout last evening between Paufßoesch and Bob Kruse ended in a draw. The former gained a fall after a series of drop-kicks in the sixth round. Kruse evened in the eighth round, Boesch missing a dr6p-kick and Kruse falling on him to arply a Boston crab. BOUT IN SYDNEY ATKINS AND MAGILL DRAW (Received September 6, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 0 At the Leichhardt Stadium last evening, in a wrestling bout, Fred Atkins and Mike Magill drew with one fall each.
