LATE MR. MATTHEWSON
The circumstances of the sudden Yv ? i? " weGk of John William Matthewson, general manager oi the Union Steam Ship Company revealed with the arrival of the ISarbada at Auckland on Saturday morning. Mr. Matthewson, who was returning by the Nurbada with his wife and two daughters after a visit to the United Kingdom, was found dead on deck shortly after midnight on Thursday. He had evidently left his cabin unaccompanied and had walked a short distance along the deck ...when he collapsed and died from heart failure. The funeral, which was of a private nature, took place on Saturday afternoon. ■, , - . .
