RADIO INTERFERENCE
EFFORTS TO. SUPPRESS BRITISH INVESTIGATIONS EXHIBIT AT OLYMPIA (Received September 3, G. 5 p.m.) British Wireless RUOBY, Sept. 2 During his visit to the Radio Olympia to-day, the Postmaster-General, Mr. George Trvon, paid particular attention to an exhibit which illustrates the steps being taken for the suppression of radio interference.
"The problem of minimising interference with radio reception, caused by domestic and electrical appliances and equipment," said Mr. Tryon, "continues to engage the active attention of the Post Office. The importance of the problem is increasing owing to the extent of the use of electrical appliances of all kinds."
The Post Office in the past year had investigated about 40,000 complaints from listeners and in the large majority of the cases some measure of relief was effected.
