OBITUARY
MR. ALFRED HOLLAND LABOUR POLITICIAN (Received August 31, 5.45 p.m.) LONDON, August 81 The death has occurred of Mr. Alfred Holland, Labour menber of the House of Commons for Clay Cross, Derby. The late Mr. Holland was the son of a Derbyshire coalminer. He was born in January, 1900. He was a member of the Derbyshire County Council. 1931, vice-president of the Clay Cross division Labour Party, branch secretary of the National Union of Distributive and Allied Workers, a Methodist lay preacher and church secretary. He was elected to the House of Commons for Clay Cross in 1935.
