ROTORUA TOURNAMENT [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] BOTOBUA, Monday The following; entries have been received for the annual open tournament of the Botorua Basketball Association for the Maori carved Kurungaituku Trophy, which will commence next Friday and conclude on Saturday:—Te Aroha Old Girls, Matamata A, Matamata B, Matamata C, Central Hawke's Bay B, Central Hawke'd Bay A, Ngaruawahia, Napier, Waikino, Wellington B. Cambridge, To Aroha, Waikato, Paeroa, Te Awamutu. Te Awamutu Old Girls, Whakatane, Thames, Hastings, Opotiki', Gisborne, Botorua. Botorua B. AMATEUR ATHLETICS OPOTIKI CLUB'S SEASON' [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] OPOTIKI, Monday Thero was a large attendance at the annual meeting of the Opotiki Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club, when the past year was reported to have been a successful one, especially the championship meeting at which teams from Hamilton, Botorua and Gisborne took part. This will now be an annual fixture. Tho balance-sheet showed receipts to be £lO2 3ls 9d, and expenditure £OB 7s Id. Th credit balance now stands at £l7 13s 9d. The following officers were elected:— Patrons, Messrs. J. W. Gordon, G. S. Moody; president, Mr. S. M. Jephson; honorary surgeons, Dr. 11. M. Budd, Dr. E. Candy; secretary, Mr. G. W. Button; assistant, Mr. C. Smith; treasurer, Mr. T. Hickey; auditor, Mr. J. McCaldon; committee, Messrs. Jephson, Button, Smith, Hickey, C. Tabb, J. Mansell, McCaldon, R. Mcllwraith, R. Black, C.
