WAITEMATA GOLF CLUB
PRESENTATION TO MEMBER In honour of Miss Betty Atkinson, who is shortly to be married, an afternoon was given on the links by the lady members of the Waitemata Golf Club on Saturday. Afternoon tea was served in the clubhouse, where the tables were arranged with vases of daffodils, Iceland poppies and asparagus fern. Prior to afternoon tea, the club captain, Mrs. Carl Prime, presented the guest of honour with a set of initialled teaspoons. A putting competition was Avon by Miss Eileen Hogan. Among those present were: Mrs. A. E. Alison, Mrs. W. C. Beaumont (vicepresidents), Mrs. F. Langley, Mrs. L. Cooke, Mrs. E. P. Titehener, Mrs. E. C. Staples Mrs. 11. V. Marchant, Mrs. B Burgess, Mrs. E. Atkinson, Mrs. F! Burgess, Mrs. J. C. Shennan, Mrs. L. Ford, Mrs. K. MeDougall, Mrs. D. Prune, Miss Vj. Marks, Miss Joyce Catchpole, Miss Margery Watson, Miss Muriel MeDougall, Miss Blossom Goodinn-, Miss Beth Brooks, Miss Pearl Hartv, Miss Dot Curtavne, Miss Edna Bowclen, Miss V. Do well, Miss Berry, Miss Jess Drummond, Miss Natalie Burgess, Miss Peggy Trays, Miss Pauline Woodroffe, Miss Hazel Cornthwaite. Miss Marjorie Kealy, Miss Mavis Cooper, Miss Muriel Hill. Miss Potter, Miss Cameron and Miss Sloane.
