WAGES IN BRITAIN
SUBSTANTIAL INCREASE . INDUSTRIAL VITALITY LONDON. August 7 Striking evidence of Britain's industrial vitality is afforded by figures which show an increase of £'275.000 a week in full-time wages paid to 2,000,000 British workers during the first six months of I'JUG. The Daily Telegraph says there has not been a similar record of consistent improvement for 12 years, and it computes the total increase in wages for the year at more than £.'i5,000.000.
