TRANSPORT IN LONDON
NEW DEVELOPMENT SCHEME £40,000,000 INVOLVED British Wireless * RUGBY, August 7 ' The London Passenger Transport Board has issued orders for work to be begun on a £40,000.000 development scheme as soon as the Act endorsing the scheme lias received the Royal Assent. Underground railway extensions, which will be carried out during the next five years, will particularly benefit passenger transport in the north and north-east of London. It is estimated that the work will give employment directly and indirectly to 35,000 workers for five years.
