Sir,—Tt does seem regrettable that no mention of tbe returned soldiers should be made in the last Budget. It was hoped that a suitable bill for the benefit of the "burnt out soldiers" would be introduced, as Mr. Goatos said Mr. Leo had one in view which would modify the existing bill and permit New Zealand soldiers who were over nnd could procure n medical certificate, yet who had not been in the trenches, to share in its benefits. What has become of this? N.Z. Bask.
