INCIDENT IN ALBANIA
GENDARMES FIRE ON CROWD (Received August 5, 12.-15 a.m.) PRAGUE, August -1 There wns a tragic ending to a foothall match between Czechs and Albanians at Valona, Albania. The trouble began when an Albanian knocked out a Czech. The Czech goalkeeper then attacked the referee. Further fights followed, in which spectators participated. Gendarmes rushed on to tho field and the crowd's attitude was so menacing that their officer ordered them to fire a volley. This they did.and killed four of the spectators and wounded several others.
