MILK FOR SCHOOLS
STATE ASSISTANCE SUBSIDY FOR AUCKLAND [by TF.LKGRArn —SPECIAL reporter] WELLINGTON*. Tuesday The scheme for the supply of free milk to school children is likely to recoive some "assistance from the Go** eminent this year. Last year the Health Department provided £3OOO tor this purpose, but only £2 was expended. However this year in the Estimates the Government has set a sum of £BO,OOO aside for the purpose. In addition to this there is a subsidy of £250 to be paid on a pound tor pound basis iit respect of milk Mipp '*■ to children in the Auckland district, and £SO to be applied in the same nay in To Aroha.
