Mr. C. A. L. Smith, w.ho has been manager of the lanrajiga branch of the Hank of New Zealand for the past seven years, has b«en transferred to a similar position at Stratford. Mr. Green, of Stratford, will succeed M r Smith at Tauranga. 1 '

Mr. R. Jose. New Zealand passenger representative for the Mntson Lino and Mr. E. D. Walker, passenger traffic manager at the company's Sydney office, arrived by the limited express yesterday morning. Mr. Walker is at the Grand Hotel.

Mr. C. L. Butchers, general secretary of the Pharmaceutical Association of Australia and New Zealand is' visiting Wellington in connection with the New Zealand pharmaceutical reorganisation scheme. He will leave Auckland for Sydney by the Mariposa on Frid 33'.
