HOCKEY CLUB DANCE
UNIVERSITY COLLEGE There was a largo attendance at the 'Auckland University College on Saturday night, when a combined Hockey Club dance was held. Large tubs of leafy bamboo and palms decorated the inner vestibule and were also arranged in the hall, which was used for dancing. Supper was served in the women's common room, where the tables wero arranged with vases of Iceland poppies and fern. The women's committee comprised:— Miss Corinnc Hall, who wore a frock of ciel blue checked ninon; Miss Shona Paterson, peach silver-stripe sou pie satin; Miss E. King-Mason, primrose crepon and black satin beaute; Miss M. Barr, parchment lace. Among those present were: —Mrs. E. Paterson, who wore white satin and black crepon; Miss P. Shirtcliffe, crimson chiffon velvet; Miss Jocelyn Lusher, Nile green checked taffetas; Miss Jean Hall, cherry and rust figured crepe de chine; Miss M. Bourne, black chiffon velvet; Miss Phyllis de Boissiere, black angelskin and silver lame; Miss Joan Tomlinson, Marina blue crepon; Miss Laurie Walsh, wine velvet and lace; Miss Peggy Trays, Lido blue tinsel cloque; Miss Annie Johnson, cardinal red lace; Miss Peggy O'Connor, shell pink cloque; Miss Joan Smith, black novelty crepe and white souple satin; Miss Marie Bamford, leaf green moss crepe; Miss Peggy Chambers, gipsy gold crepe suede; Miss June Hillary, phlox pink shot taffetas; Miss Joan Duthie, blue tinsel striped stiffened chiffon; Miss Sheila McKinnon, crimson velvet and black cloque; Miss Mary Finlay, navy blue taffetas; Miss P. King, white floral crepe suede; Miss Mollie Kelly, electric blue cloque; Miss M. Heughan, magnolia souple satin; Miss P. Roberts, sea green crepon and lace; Miss Mary McKenzie, black tree bark crepe; Miss Mary Wrightson, floral georgette; Miss Betty Coe, Marina green crepe suede; Miss Jocelvn Archie, cameo pink lace and organdi; Miss Molly McGechie, iceblue moss crepe; Miss Pat. Finch, white silver-striped taffetas; Miss Phyllis Keith, lobelia blue chiffon velvet; Miss Evelyn Asmuss, white organdi figured with blue; Miss Muriel Wills, sky blue novcltv net.
