PIRATE SHIP
A "Nautical Novelty Night" at the Pirate Ship on Saturday proved a very popular function, and attracted a large number of guests. The stage was arranged to represent the bridge of a ship, and the cubicles were decorated with "cut-outs" of "Pop-Eye the Sailor," which were later distributed among the dancers.' Sailor caps and collars were also presented to them and the orchestra also wore nautical shaped red caps. A programme of sea melodies mid numbers played by the orchestra featured "Nancy Lee," "A Life on the Ocean Wave," and selections from "H.M.S. Pinafore."
