SUCCESS OF MOUNT ALBERT ROTORUA DEFEATS TAKAPUNA The only match played on Saturday in the senior Rugby football competition for secondary schools was that between Mount Albert Grammar School and Sacred Heart College, Auckland Grammar School and Takapuna Grainmar School being engaged in their annual contests with Hamilton High School and Rotorua T1 ijili School respectively. Auckland Grammar maintained its unbroken sequence of victories this season, defeating Hamilton by 31 points to 8. The match took place on Grammar's ground and, as usual, the solid work of the forwards, augmented by the skill and speed of the backs, made the Grammar team unbeatable. llotorua High School outplayed Takapuna Grammar, at Takapuna, by 31 points to o. Tho winning team achieved success by means of tho bustling tactics of its heavier forwards and tho crisp passing of the backs. Mount Albert Grammar and Sacred Heart met on Mount Albert's ground, their game commencing the second round of the secondary schools' competition. A willing struggle ended in a well-merited win for Mount Albert by 11 points to it, which-thus avenged its defeat in the first round.
