NAZI ACTIVITIES
FIVE WEEKS' RESPITE SPEAKERS TO RECUPERATE FRESH CAMPAIGN . LATER By Telegraph—-Press Association—Copyright (Received July 10, 10.15 p.m.) Times Cable LONDON, July 10 The Berlin correspondent of the Times states that Dr. Goebbels has suspended political meetings for five weeks "in order to give tired Nazi speakers and propagandists time to recuperate for the task which lies before them." It has long been believed that after the Olympic Games —not immediately, but about the middle of September, or the beginning of October when most of the foreign visitors will have left—a period of intense Nazi political activity will set in. Dr. Goebbels' order is the first official cor; firmotion of this view. All the signs point to further drastic measures against the Jews, non-Nazis and the Churches, but the predominant idea in the new campaign apparently is to force the issue between the Nazi Party and those who have remained outside it through opposition or indifference. Outsiders will be given the option of joining the party or being branded as definitely non-Nazi. -This will entail serious disadvantages under the citizenship law. ____________
