PRICE OF CREAM
Sir, —As a country resident staying for a' few days in an Auckland suburb I am struck at the very great difference in the price paid to us lor our cream delivered to the various dairy companies, compared with that paid here for household use. Supplying cream to a factory containing, say, •JO per cent of butter-lat, and butteifat netting, sav, Is per lb. compare this with the price paid here for household use. The difference can be easily calculated. Do customers receive cream containing tho same amount of but-ter-lat which we supply ? Perhaps someone with a more intimate knowledge of both sides .of the question would enlighten us further. Dairy Farmer
